Our Commitment to Sustainability

The 29er Class is proud to lead on sustainability through the Clean Regattas Program. We’re committed to greener events, reducing our impact, and celebrating sailors who make a difference. Together, we can keep our sport and oceans healthy for the future.

Clean Class Sailors for The Sea Program

The International 29er Class is proud to be a leader in promoting sustainability in sailing. We're committed to reducing our environmental impact and inspiring sailors and events to do the same.

We encourage all regatta organizers to step up their green efforts and work toward Clean Regatta certification through Sailors for the Sea. Regattas can earn Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum level status by meeting a range of eco-friendly criteria—from eliminating single-use plastics to promoting ocean education.

It’s easier than you think, and every step counts toward a healthier planet and a stronger sailing community.

Let’s work together to make every 29er event a cleaner, greener one!
